Important Lessons about Blogging

Sometime back I remember when I had joined blogging industry; I had my own blog for fun purpose and to exchange information like many of us. Frankly, that time I wasn’t aware of any earning scope through blogging. And now, I run blogs which are generating money for me as well as managing writers.

With every passing day, I have been learning new facts about blogging, web technology, host, bloggers etc. Also, I wouldn’t fail to give credit to the problems I faced and overcame successfully. My mistakes have taught me a lot more than any institute.

The mistakes I am talking about could happen in anyone’s life. They can make or break a person. Many times I thought that this field is not for me and I almost used to give up on each mistake of mine. Still if you see me standing here and giving you lessons on blogging, holds a great hard work and patience behind it.

Important Lessons about Blogging

Below are some tips that I am sure going to work for people who want to be inn. Your feedback would be highly appreciated.

Need to take a backup of everything

No matter what business you start, since you are not well versed with things and are a fresher; you are advised to take a backup of everything. That includes images, files, blogs, websites and every other thing which is important. Despite of the less traffic you would take the backup without fail.

SEO knowledge

It’s a fact that the great content of your site will get you traffic. However, you also can’t deny the importance of SEO knowledge. It is very important to know the implementation of post title, permalinks, sitemaps, keyword and much more of SEO. Content and SEO work hand in hand, any one would be incomplete without the other.

Everyone has a different style of working and learning at their level. So to learn SEO operations, for me an online course was excellent.

Continue writing:

Till the time you are well established, you need to fine tune your writing skills. For that you need to be in touch of your writing. I personally have written each day to be in practice for years. Though I have writers now, but I could only reach to this position after a lot of hard work. You would agree with me that writing daily makes a huge difference and improves your drafting and vocabulary power.

Take help

Not everyone has the knowledge of everything. Even I was no good when I started, but due to some close people in my life I was able to achieve, what was impossible for me at one point. Mostly people are not very tech savvy and are unable to even configure commands and bring small changes even. So it is always better to know and rely on someone who knows it, in case you are unable to.

It is ok even if you have to hire a person to do that job. As some people are great at that as well, it is good for them. But, still they even need to be in touch with probloggers or reliable friends, just in case an emergency strikes.

Wise links

keep in mind if you implement the wrong ways to generate links, it would be temporary. But, if your content is awesome, fresh, and unique you will get long-lasting links and will keep multiplying for life.

I know it is asking for too much in the beginning. To get noticed initially you may guest post, do a site submission to Yahoo and DMOZ, and be an active part of social networking, being a part of job carnivals would an effective idea.

Calm down & unwind time to time

Try keeping yourself cool because writing articles really takes a toll on health. As it needs a lot of brain work, people tend to lose out on patience and get into stress. Not to be over obsessed with your work else you’ll lose out on your health big time. You must keep a timer in mind to unwind yourself.

You may have heard of this, “don’t take your work home for a peaceful life”. You must maintain a balance between your work and personal life also should be at peace emotionally, because blogging is a vast field, it has driven people crazy for money and fame.

I think, I am done for the day. I still carry the habit of writing daily, not more but once.  These points really helped me; once you start implementing do let me know the results.

Well before you know me, you need to know about my existence, so to be frank I was born on 18th of January, its also a holiday throughout the world celebrated as my birthday :-) I have lived 20 years of my living life in Mumbai a place they call the business capital of INDIA. I am a IT Diploma Holder by profession, and also a Open Source Developer.

I do trust all of the ideas you’ve introduced on your post. They are really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for newbies. May you please prolong them a bit from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.
